Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator Assistant will assist the programming staff with everyday activities from waterfront to ropes course.  You will report directly to the Assistant Program Manager. In addition, this position will perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Facilitate and coordinate participant activities.
  • Attend all training sessions provided for our department and maintain relevant certifications (i.e. ropes course, lifeguarding, adaptive, paddling, kayak rescue, and CPR/First aid).
  • Enforce rules and policies at the facility and waterfront to maintain the safety of all guests.
  • Work with staff and volunteers during activities.
  • Required to drive (vans and/or pontoon boats), must show a valid driver’s license.
  • Assist with program activities.
  • Assist Program Coordinator Assistant with kayak safety, leading kayak trips and any/all waterfront needs.
  • Remain flexible in daily activities: zoo, store trips, ropes course, hiking, etc.
  • Other duties as needed to maintain the highest quality of standards that ensure service member, and service member family’s safety and success are first priority.

  • Professional, polite and articulate written and verbal skills
  • Ability to think, work strategically and forward think (what needs to completed for the next day)– while also being efficient and juggling many things at once
