This is a regular part-time position, 20-30 hours per week
$17/hr

Position Summary:

Kitchen Utility Worker perform various food preparation, cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats
Labeling and stocking all ingredients on the appropriate shelf (FIFO)
Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash and sanitizing the kitchen
Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
Communicates use of ingredients/inventory with Kitchen Manager to keep the kitchen stocked.
Support Cooks with various kitchen tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Keen understanding of industry-standard best cooking and preparation practices
Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Understanding of basic food safety practices (ServSafe certification is a plus)
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
